Graduate Structural Engineer (+3 Yrs)
We are looking for an experienced Structural Engineer with 3-5 years’ experience (candidates with up to 7 years pre-chartership will also be considered, please contact us to discuss), to join our talented team in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex. We are looking for a driven and dedicated individual who can help our business to continue to grow and succeed. We are in the position to offer support to achieving Chartered status; with mentors and graduate training programmes that will lead to chartership with ICE or IStructE.
During your work, you will assist the Directors and engineering team with the design and management of projects across a broad range of sectors, from small residential projects to large projects in the commercial, local authority, education, and leisure sectors. We also have broad expertise in sustainable construction materials, which will become even more important in our ever-changing world.

- BEng, MEng or MSc degree in Civil or Structural Engineering at grade 2:1 or above.
- Degree should be suitable for progression to Chartered membership of the ICE or IStructE.

Apprentice Structural Engineer
Our apprenticeship opportunity will allow you to earn while you study, for a globally recognized academic qualification. As an apprentice, you will study at Anglia Ruskin University on block release, combining your learning with real responsibilities at Crucis Designs. You will be assigned a mentor who will guide you through your professional development.

- Production of simple engineering calculations.
- Assisting with the administration of projects.
- Assisting with site inspections and surveys.
For this apprenticeship opportunity, we are looking for the following qualifications, skills and attributes:
- Three A-levels at grades A*-C, which should include Maths and Science or their equivalent.
- Three GCSEs at grades A*-C or equivalent which must include Maths and English.
- An interest in the built environment.
- Good level of mathematical understanding.
- Ability to manage your own workload and work effectively in a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Enthusiasm to learn.
- Interest in the use of computer packages to draw, model and detail buildings.
